A Brief History

This really needs to be updated, but you get the point hah

What started as a (private) journal to document moments in my pregnancy and Oliver's life that I didn't want to forget, has now slowly but surely evolved into so much more. With all the new traffic my little blog has received, I figured it was only appropriate to tell you a bit more about myself.

If you didn't know already, my name is Renee (heyyy!). I am a twenty-something sarcastic, blunt, detail oriented, quirky, stubborn, thrifty, cautiously optimistic, scatterbrained, and socially awkward stay-at-home-mom. Hello, nice to meet you :)

My interests currently include but are not limited to: owls, interior design, driving with the windows down, baking, thrifting, random facts, tattoos, house hunting, slots, wearing my pajamas for days on end, weight loss, taking pictures, online shopping for things I cannot afford, the little things, people watching, wishing I was crafty, laughing until I cry, lists, and of course, blogging. That's the gist, right? Care for more detail? Okay.

I was born and briefly raised in Michigan. (Detroit, Lansing, Howell, and Canton for those of you that have any idea where I'm talking about) I truly miss the North. The hills, the snow, the fireflies, seasonal changes... When I was seven, we moved to Florida, where I still currently reside. (for now) No need to really dive deep into anything between the ages of 8 and 21... nothing extremely interesting.

Hung out with friends, had mood swings, did some things I probably shouldn't have done. Grew up, you know, acted like a normal teenager, for the most part. Oh, but let's not forget the one and only important thing that happened during that time...

In 2005, I met my other half. The love of my life, Steve. We moved in together right away and have been together almost everyday since. Very soon, he will be graduating from pharmacy school. I am oh so proud of my nerd. And he has a beard. Pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.

As of May 12th, 2010, I became a stay at home mom to an incredible little dude named Oliver. (but you'll have to go here to read more about him)

Both of these men have completely changed my life for the better. I wake up everyday because of them. I cannot imagine life without the two coolest guys I've ever met.

Oh, and last but certainly not least, I am a cat owner mom to Ilsa and Oskar.

This section will forever be growing and changing as we do.
